WINTHROP - Margaret H. Cookson-Monty, 73, of Winthrop Manor, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta. She was born in Christmas Cove on March 8, 1936, the daughter of Clifford and Katherine (Gammage) Hatch. She attended Edgecomb Eddy Elementary School and graduated from Wiscasset High School. A homemaker for most of her life, Margaret also worked as a nanny and housekeeper. She enjoyed camping and reading. She was predeceased by a son, Terry Cookson, in 1997; and a daughter, Kathy Rodrigue, in 1998. She is survived by two daughters, Jackie Rodrigue and her husband, Gus, of Readfield, and Sandy Goldrup and her husband, Keith, of Monmouth; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. There will be no visiting or services at this time. Burial will occur in Highland Cemetery, Edgecomb, at a later date. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.khrfuneral homes.com.
