Obituary

November 17, 1980 – January 12, 2025 Margaret "Meg" Linder, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on January 12th at the age of 44. Born on November 17, 1980, Meg brought light, love, and creativity into the lives of all who knew her. Meg was predeceased by her cherished mother, Sherry Linder, and is survived by her devoted father, Virgil Linder. She leaves behind her three brothers: Biff Linder (wife Swati, children Ravi and Reya), Alley Linder (wife Sandra, children Isabella, AJ, and Clara), and Patrick Linder. Her role as a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews was one she treasured deeply. Her bond with her brother Patrick was particularly close as they were "thicker than thieves" throughout her life. Meg had a zest for life that was too large to contain, searching for the next experience or a new adventure. Meg owned her own business, raised chickens, and left it all behind for Maine to follow her desires. A lifelong artist, Meg's talent and passion for creativity were evident in every aspect of her life. She had an incredible ability to see beauty in the everyday and share it with others through her work. Whether through her artwork, her vibrant personality, or her compassionate spirit, she inspired those around her to live life with joy and authenticity. Meg's memory will live on in the laughter of her family, the bonds she nurtured, and the art she created and treasured. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. A celebration of Meg's life is to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Columbia Museum of Art or supporting the arts in your community in any other way. Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home & Cremation Care, One Church Street, Augusta, Maine. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary of the Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home website www.khrfuneralhomes.com
