READFIELD- Marion J. Newland, 83, passed away in the comfort of her home on Monday, February 20, 2017. She was born in Somerville, New Jersey, the daughter of Theodore and Stella (Vorbosky) Bernhardt, and went on to graduate from Somerville High School. She worked at Carleton Woolen Mill in Winthrop and was the loving and devoted wife of the late George Newland, who passed on July 29, 2007. She was also preceded in death by several of her siblings. Marion will be lovingly remembered and missed by her loving nephew, Michael A. Tronziger, whom she treated as her own son, her brother, Theodore “Teddy”, of New Jersey and several nieces and nephews. At Marion’s request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service at this time. She will be interred next to her husband at Readfield Corner Cemetery in the spring.
