SIDNEY - Marjorie E. Armstrong, 77, of Sidney died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, Waterville. She was born in Sidney on June 8, 1930, the daughter of Fred and Alvira (Folger) Robinson. Marjorie worked at Hallowell Shoe Co., White Cloud Laundry and, later, at Sunshine Laundry in Manchester, Conn. She had lived in Sidney for more than 40 years. She loved animals and flowers and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Edward Robinson. She is survived by her husband, Ernold Armstrong; two daughters, Mary Turcotte of Oakland and Sharon Ames of North Carolina; a brother, Robert Robinson of Augusta; and three grandsons, Jonathan and Donald Turcotte and Robert Martin. Relatives and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, with a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
