READFIELD- Our dear mother, auntie, sister and daughter was taken from us far too soon. Martha Elizabeth was a quiet but loving soul who underestimated her impact on her family and the world. On Sunday, October 30, Martha was tragically taken to be with the lord in a car accident at the age of 43.
Martha graduated from Cony High School in 1997 and worked a variety of jobs through her lifetime. She was the mother of two amazing children, Byron Bergeron of Readfield and Viva Grey of Henderson, NV. She was incredibly proud of all of their numerous accomplishments and loved them more than all the stars in the universe. She was Auntie to her dear Ava and her very special Luca, whom she had an extra special bond with. She was a sister to Kathleen Breton of Readfield and David Jordan of Augusta, who loved her quick wit, radical sarcasm and unconditional love. She was "Gert" and the rock to her always loving and supportive mom, Jean Lloyd of Readfield.
Martha loved animals, including her dogs that she held a special bond with. She loved the outdoors and the simple things in life. She was happiest in her comfy clothes reading a good book or chit-chatting with a few of her loved ones. She loved her family furiously. Though she was troubled at times, her family always knew they were special to her.
Besides the family mentioned above, she is survived by her father, James Jordan (and Karen) of Augusta, brother-in-law, Jason Breton of Readfield, sister-in-law Erika Jordan of Augusta and some special close friends. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Byron and Julia Lloyd of Norridgewock, and Virginia Jordan of South Gardiner.
There will be a celebration of life at her mother's home at 118 Sturtevant Hill Road in Readfield on Sunday, November 6th at 1pm. Please bring a bag chair if you would like to join the family in celebrating Martha's life.
