Mary was born in Fayette Maine on August 11, 1939 and attended Fayette Elementary School and graduated from Livermore Falls High School.

Mary worked for the Maine Department of Transportation and Maine Public Utilities Commission until her retirement in 2006.

Mary was an avid gardener and spent many summers preserving the bounty harvested from her garden and berries picked at local farms.  She was an excellent cook and those who were fortunate to have a seat at her table were not disappointed. Her baked beans and biscuits were family favorites. She and her husband Bob enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and kayaking with friends and family. She loved a good book and passed that love of reading to her children.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM, at Readfield Corner Cemetery, Church Road, Readfield Maine.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Readfield Keep Me Warm fund or the Mt. Vernon Food Bank.
