Winthrop - Mary L. DeBlois, 88, of Hanson St., died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Heritage Manor. She was born in Gardiner on May 26, 1920, the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Brown) Hall. Mary graduated from Gardiner High School in 1938. In 1941 she married Wilfred DeBlois. A homemaker for most of her life, she also worked as a teller for Depositors Trust in Winthrop for 15 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Winthrop; member and past president of the Alfred Maxwell Post 40 American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the D.A.R.. Mary enjoyed cooking for her family but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred DeBlois in 1996. Mary is survived by 2 sons; Jeffrey DeBlois and his wife Sue of Winthrop; Mark DeBlois and his wife Rachel of Newcastle; a brother Arnold Hall of and his wife Jean of South Gardiner; 5 grandchildren, Brooke Oseland and her husband Michael of Portland, OR; Lindsey Vesceri and her husband Charles of Denver, CO.; Chloe DeBlois, Hannah DeBlois and Mary DeBlois, all of Newcastle; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting will be held Monday October 20, from 6-8 pm at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St.,Winthrop. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:00am, Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Winthrop. Burial will be in Glenside Cemetery. www.khrfuneralhomes.com
