CHELSEA- Miriam B. Turner, 81 of Chelsea passed away on March 6, 2024, at Gray Birch long term care facility.
Miriam the daughter of Parker and Marion Blen was born February 25, 1943, in Gardiner, Maine
She attended high school at Bridge Academy in Dresden Maine. Miriam took various classes during her time employed with the State of Maine.
She married the love of her life, Fred, the man she decided to spend her life with since she was in 8th grade, on November 25, 1961, in Gardiner, Maine.
She had many jobs in her lifetime, secretary, bookkeeper, receptionist, stenographer. She spent a few years living on Swan Island "not to be confused with Swan's Island" while going to school.
She read, collected, piled, re-plied and sorted hundreds of books. She loved to listen to and collect her LPs and 45s. Miriam collected VCR tapes and clothing as well. While it's well known her love for her collections, her most prized possession was the memories she made with Fred during there 61 years of marriage. She drew and filled two moose tags. Miriam loved to hunt deer, ducks, and moose. She also enjoyed fresh water and saltwater fishing with Fred.
She was pre-diseased by her mother Marion, father Parker, and brother Harold Blen.
Miriam is survived by Her husband Fred A. Turner, daughter Michala E. White of bar harbor, Vaughn A. Turner Sr. of Readfield, grandson Vaughn A. Turner Jr, granddaughter Heather Littlefield of Brunswick, great grandson Justin, Neice Terri B. Parker of Richmond, as well as numerous cousins, grandchildren, and other beloved friends and family members.
There will be no services held at this time.
