AUGUSTA - Muriel R. Musk, 100, of Augusta died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Beck Row, Suffolk, England, Feb. 27, 1908, the daughter of Richard and Harriet (Curtis) Clements. She met her husband, Victor P. Musk, in England, and they were married in 1932. They moved to the United States, where Victor attended Bangor Theological Seminary. Muriel served with her husband, who was a Methodist minister, at many churches throughout Maine. Victor died in 1987. Muriel enjoyed gardening and was known for her beautiful gardens. She enjoyed knitting, floral arranging and tennis in her younger years. She also enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, and taught Sunday school. Mrs. Musk was predeceased by her husband; and her son, Gautrey J. Musk. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Janet Musk, of Augusta; her grandsons, Jeffrey H. Musk and his wife, Misuk, of West Point, N.Y., and John H. Musk and his wife, Charlotte, of Westbrook; five great-grandchildren, Jeffrey H. Musk, II, Kathryn Musk, William Musk, Faith June Musk and Lauren Janet Musk, along with many relatives still living in England. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday at at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta. Relatives and friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery.
