AUGUSTA - Naomi I. Buzzell, 60, of Augusta, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at her home. She was born in Augusta on April 4, 1948, the daughter of Clyde Sr. and Earlene (McLaughlin) Trask. She grew up around Augusta and received her GED in 1973. Naomi worked at Augusta General Hospital, Cony Street Manor and later at Augusta Mental Health Institute until her retirement after 19 years of service. Naomi enjoyed crafts in her spare time, including needlepoint and rug hooking. She also enjoyed shopping, reading and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Ms. Buzzell was predeceased by her father, Clyde Trask in 1969; her mother, Earlene Trask in December of 2007; and her niece, Roxanne Truman in November of 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Tia E. McDaniel and her fianc?, William, and her boys, Corey, Jared, and Austin, of Augusta; her sons, recently adopted grandson, Stefan Buzzell, Charles Barrows Jr. and Tierra and children, Santasta, Natasha, Samuel, Cassie and Sarah of Windsor and Shayna of Lewiston; Joseph Trask of Windsor and his boys, Nicholas and Derek; Wilber Barrows and his wife, Desirae, and children, Christian, Michael, Seann, and Xavier, of Augusta; her siblings, Clyde Trask Jr. and his wife, Dorothy, of Augusta, George Trask and his wife, Gail, of Gardiner, and Timothy Trask of Augusta, Effie Tillson and her husband, Walter Sr., of Sidney, Esther McLaughlin of Bath, and Lorraine Shaw of Augusta; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins and one great-grandson on the way. Relatives and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Monday at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, with a celebration of her life at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. There will be a gathering at the Eagles Club following the service. Spring burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Windsor.
