Norman F. Hansen (89), beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, died on February 20, 2024, at Maine General in Augusta, Maine.
He was born January 23, 1935, to Albert and Dorothy Hansen of Concord, New Hampshire. He was a kind-hearted, gentle man known for his hard work ethic and love for his family and friends. After graduating from Concord High, he attended Bob Jones University and proudly served his country in the New Hampshire National Guard Army Reserve.
As a civilian, he worked for the B&M railroad as a switchman, for Pike Industries, and then for the State of New Hampshire DOT retiring in 1994.
He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Concord, New Hampshire (now Centerpoint), where he taught Sunday School and Junior Church and sang in the choir for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sharon L. (Morrison) Hansen, his son Jeff Hansen and his wife Faith, his daughter Martha Pereira and her husband Paul, four grandchildren and their spouses, 14 great-grandchildren, his brother Robert E. Hansen and his wife Jean, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and John Watson.

Norman's Funeral Service will be held at the Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street in Augusta, Maine, on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm with visiting hours starting at 1:00 pm.
