WINTHROP ? Orris M. Mason Jr., 53, of Winthrop, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. He was born Aug. 27, 1948, in Augusta, son of Orris M. Sr. and Catherine (Skein) Mason. Orris was well known in Winthrop. He was at one time employed by Carleton Woolen Mill and was a member of the American Legion Alfred W. Maxwell Jr. Post 40. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Carol. Survivors include an uncle, a nephew, and several cousins. A spring graveside service will be held at the East Winthrop Cemetery at a day and time to be announced. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop;
