AUGUSTA ? Pearl A. Pullen, 81, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Graybirch in Augusta. She was born in Augusta, Jan. 15, 1921, the daughter of Pearly and Caroline (Brooks) White. She attended Augusta area schools and graduated from Cony High School. She had worked as a stitcher for several shoe companies, including Taylor Shoe. She married Chester Pullen on Oct. 19, 1940. Pearl enjoyed playing bingo. She was predeceased by her husband, Aug. 2, 1987. She is survived by a son, Ellwood Pullen and his wife, Mickie, of East Livermore; a sister, Rose Mason of Parsley, Fla.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Forest Grove Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, Augusta.
