Phyllis Rourke 1932-2022 Readfield, Maine- Phyllis Rourke (nee Rolfe) 89, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on September 28, 2022, She was born on December 16, 1932, to Ernest (Tink) and Iva (Storer) Rolfe. Born and raised in Maine, Phyllis lived in Readfield and graduated from Kents Hill High School. After graduation, she moved to Washington, DC and went to work at the Pentagon. She later married and raised 4 children in Ohio. Once her children were grown, she moved back home to Readfield to be closer to her parents. She later met and married Bill Rourke and things just "clicked". They lived a blissful life for 37 years. She is pre-deceased by her parents as well as 4 brothers – Maynard, Ernest Jr. Edward, Roland (Buddy) and sister Jean (Rolfe) Burhans. She is survived by her devoted husband Bill, Daughters -Cindy Kerlee of Readfield, Diane Hilton and her husband Billy of South China. Sons Don Kerlee and his wife Jill of Akron Ohio and Mark Kerlee of Hartville, Ohio. 5 grandchildren – Brandon and his wife Leah, Sarah Dawson and her husband Derek, Josh Kerlee, Kristen Lawrence and her husband Chris, and Jen Kerlee. 5 great-grandchildren Charlee, Wyatt, Killian, Hank and Reannia. Stepdaughter Marilyn and husband Steve of Readfield. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. As well as lifelong friends, David and Emily Cadarett. And "My Normie". Friends are invited to calling hours on Friday from 2 PM-4 PM and 6 PM-8 PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop. Please wear something pink, in memory of Phyllis' favorite color. Funeral service is at 1pm on Saturday at Roberts Funeral Home, Winthrop. Followed by graveside committal at the East Readfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phyllis' memory to the Readfield Historical Society or any other charity of your choice.
