VASSALBORO ~ Rebecca E. Elliott, 48, of Vassalboro, died at her home on Saturday May 31, 2014. She was born May 20, 1966 the fourth daughter of Urban and Patricia (Emmons) Braley. She grew up in Vassalboro and graduated from Cony High School. Becky worked at the Togus VA Center for 27 years. In her lifetime, Becky enjoyed many outdoor activities and was an avid gardener. She loved animals, especially her dogs, including dachshunds and greyhounds. She had an exceptional relationship with her greyhound that she rescued and rehabilitated. Becky accompanied by her sisters and nieces would go downeast on seaglass expeditions. Becky was beloved by all, is irreplaceable and will be missed forever. She was predeceased by her parents, Urban and Patricia Braley. Becky is survived by her partner, Judson Quiaoit; her sisters, Sandra Nutting and her husband, John, Susan Lipman and her husband, Alan and Sheryl Black and her husband Michael; nieces and nephews, Jay and Gavin Nutting, Hillary Lipman DelGaudio and Samantha M. Black Field. A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church Street, Augusta on Monday June 9, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit with her family from 5:00 until service time.
