WINTHROP- Richard Mercier, 66, died at his home Wednesday, May 25, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer.

He was born in Lowell Massachusetts on June 7, 1955, the son of Richard and Patricia (Harriman) Mercier.

Richard was married to Jacqueline for fifty years and was a loving and devoted father of three children. He was an avid collector of fine pocket knives and pre-war antiques, and loved camping and fishing with his family as well as coaching his children’s sports and scouting programs.

Richard is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Brown) Mercier, of Winthrop and his children, Justin Francis Mercier of West Melbourne, FL, Olivia Lauren Mercier of Winthrop and Nicole M. Mercier of Portland, Oregon.

There will be a private family celebration of Richard’s life at a later date.
