Obituary

Winthrop- Robert H. Easter, 68, of Stanley Road died on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at his home with his loving siblings by his side, following a long illness.

Bob was born in Keene, New Hampshire on December 10, 1957, the son of the late Reginald H. and Geraldine M. (Sylvia) Easter.

For most of his life, Bob worked as a contractor building anything from homes, to garages to whatever you needed, a career that spanned more than forty years. After retiring from building, he worked at the Winthrop American Legion where he would do any of their maintenance, cooked for many of the events and was a big part of the annual 4th of July Celebration. He was a member of the Son's of the American Legion and was a Past Commander, adjutant and finance officer of the Son's of the American Legion.

In his spare time, Bob loved gardening and would often have the most amazing vegetable and flower gardens. He enjoyed feeding the birds or any animal that appeared on his doorstep hungry. When his illness no longer allowed him to do the things he loved, he took up crafting and would do anything just to keep busy. He loved to cook, read mystery novels and could often be found mowing the back field.

Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Rhonda in 2023, an infant daughter and a great niece, Jaidyn Bigelow. He is survived by two sons, Robert and Stephanie Easter of Mount Vernon and Daniel Easter and his companion Brittany Holland of Oakland; a daughter, Sarah Easter and her companion Joey Wade of Wiscasset; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, Connor, Noah, Kayla, Chrissy, Alex and Lukas; two great grandchildren, Genesis and Aura; a brother, Ronald and his wife Lorene Easter of NY; a sister, Donna and her husband Aubrey MacLeod of Canada; several nieces and nephews.

At the request of the family, all services will be private. Arrangements and guidance are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop, ME.
