AUGUSTA - Robynn Michelle Hayden, born in Brunswick on Feb. 9, 1979, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Augusta on May 10, 2010. Robynn grew up in Farmingdale and Augusta and graduated with honors from Hall-Dale High School in 1997. She was accepted to the accelerated nursing program at the University of Maine, graduating with honors as a registered nurse in 2000. Robynn grew up with a love for animals, and those who knew her best will remember her passion for horses. Robynn was an accomplished equestrian from a young age through her young adult years, owning numerous horses. Robynn also had a special love for her animals, especially for her dogs, Keta, Jasmine and Rocco. Robynn worked most recently as an in-home private duty nurse and was well respected and honored for her compassion and dedication towards her patients in a job she loved. She had been previously employed by Home, Hope and Healing in Smithfield; MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta; MidCoast Hospital in Brunswick; Maine Veterans' Home in Augusta; and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital, Petersborough, N.H. When Robynn was at her best, she was a fun-loving person, full of life and laughter and always trying to push the limits. Robynn is survived by her two beautiful children, daughter Keara Olivia and son Riley Timothy, both of Augusta; her mother, Orelia (Bobbie) Hayden Ladd and stepfather Bert D. Ladd, of Augusta, and her father, Robert W. Hayden, of Atlanta. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth J. Bell, of Whitefield, with whom she had a very special, loving and close relationship since childhood; her paternal grandparents, Lorraine Hayden, of Friendship, and Alton 'Shorty' Hayden, of Waldoboro; her sisters, Aimee Hayden-Rodrigues and her husband, Joseph, of Boothbay, Meaghan Hayden-Thornton, of Augusta, and Sgt. Sabrina (Ladd) Niles, currently serving in Afghanistan; as well as two special nieces, Hayden Thornton and Hannah Lapinski, both of Augusta, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Robynn was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Robert L. Bell Sr. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until noon on Saturday, May 15, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Eastern Avenue, Augusta, followed by a celebration of her life at noon. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Jefferson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robynn's memory may be made to Kennebec Valley Humane Society, 10 Pet Haven Lane, Augusta 04330.
