BANGOR- Romuald Ouellet, 88, passed away after a brief illness at the Westgate Center for Rehabilitation & Alzheimer’s care on August 19, 2023.

He was born in Saguenay, Canada on March 21, 1935, to the late Albert and Marie-Louise (Duchesne) Ouellet.

Romuald came to work in United States as a crane operator. He then decided to transfer permanently and move his family to Hartford, CT.

In his free time, he deeply enjoyed time spent with family at their beach house in Canada. While in Maine, Romuald enjoyed ice fishing and playing cards with friends.

In addition to his loving wife, Chantale Ouellet, Romuald is predeceased by his son, Mario Ouellet, brothers, Jean-Marie, Rosaire, Gildas, and Ghislain Ouellet, sister, Lorraine Boily and sisters-in-law, Lucie, and Andree. Romuald leaves behind his daughter, Gina (Rejean) Roy, son, Harold (Kristy) Ouellet, and daughter Cathy (Richard) Cecchini. Brother, Alain Ouellet, brother-in-law, Serge Boily, and sisters-in-law, Claire Fortin, Louisette Blackburn, and Rosaline Gerard. As well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Romuald’s visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26 from 11:30AM-1PM at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street, Augusta. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
