BELGRADE- Royce Almon Hanson of Belgrade went to be with the Lord on June 18. 2024 at Glenridge in Augusta. He was born in Augusta, Me. on February 28, 1947, the son of Robert Hanson and Maxine Tilley Hanson. Royce was a lover of outdoor activities. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, four wheeling, metal detecting and camping with his family and friends. He made and recorded many family and crazy videos. Royce married Carolyn McDonald and they had a son Royce A. Hanson Jr. They were later divorced. On June 30, 1984 he married Marcia Barrows Moore. They shared 40 years of adventures together with her sons and family. Royce was a member of Grace Community Chapel in West Gardiner. He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved Grandmother Bessie Stanley and his son Royce Hanson Jr. He is survived by his wife Marcia Hanson and her sons Mark Moore and his partner Heidi of Rome, Me. and his sons Kevin and Wendell Moore of Alabama. Mathew Moore his wife Rachael and their children Lillian, Nathan and Gracia of Woodland Me. Brothers: Ronald, Dennis, Richard, Benny and Bill Hanson. Sisters: Cindy Kinny, Helen St Peter's, and Selma Babb. He also leaves behind many Nieces, Nephews and lots of special friends. A service will be held at Grace Community Chapel at 187 Lewiston Road in West Gardiner. A date will be announced soon. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade.
