Ruth worked variously as a medical records librarian at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, an administrative assistant at Health Facilities Planning Council in Augusta and as office and business manager for Dr. Robert Sands' dental office in Winthrop. She volunteered at Kennebec Valley Medical Center in the medical library, and served for 30 years as organist and choir director for the East Winthrop Baptist Church, and for the Winthrop United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel L. Bond, and infant granddaughter Courtney Elizabeth Ladd Bond. Surviving family members are her husband, Raymond L. Bond Jr. of Winthrop; son Jeffrey L. Bond and his wife, Denise M., of Jefferson; daughter-in-law Crystal M. Bond of Gardiner, widow of Daniel; son Duncan R. Bond of Monmouth; son Thomas D. Bond and his wife, Leanne G.
