Obituary

Augusta ~ Scott P. Tomah, 55, of Myrtle Street, died Saturday April 8, 2017 at the Alfond Center for Health. He was born in Augusta on May 27, 1961, the son of Richard and Yvette (Blanchette) Tomah. Scott graduated from Cony High School in 1981. He had worked for the City of Augusta, Department of Public Works for over ten years, and later worked for Filter Belts in North Monmouth. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing disc golf. Scott was proud of his heritage, and was a member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Randall “Randy” Tomah in 2011. Scott is survived by his sister Lynne Tomah and her fianc Paul Bernat of Sabbattus; several aunts, uncles and cousins, including his aunt Faye Whitten and her husband Don of Augusta, with whom he resided with for many years. Graveside services will be held at a later date and time. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church St., Augusta where condolences, memories, photos and videos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the website at www.khrfuneralhomes.com.
