READFIELD - Sheila L. (Jackson) Elliott, 67, of Readfield passed away under hospice care on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at her stepson Alan Smith's home in Waldoboro. She was born in Massachusetts on Feb. 20, 1941, the daughter of Ernest and Elva (Mason) Jackson. Sheila graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1958. She had worked as a secretary for WoodMaster in Augusta and for the state of Maine, also in Augusta. Also, as an accomplished calligrapher, she made signs and certificates. She was married to James V. Elliott for 24 years until his passing on May 1, 2006. Mrs. Elliott is survived by three stepchildren, Alan Smith and his family, of Waldoboro, Lynn Marie (Elliott) LaFlam, of Starks, and her daughter, Chelsea L. Canwell, of Augusta, and Eric Elliott and his wife, Angela, and children Keako Marie Elliott, Jarvis James and Samantha, Dylan and Natasha Elliott, of Augusta.
