Obituary

Mount Vernon ~ Sherri Ann Watson, 47, of Mount Vernon left for a place of peace on October 3, 2014 at her home with her mother and first best friends by her side. She was born on September 24, 1967 in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Rayma L. Hall and Harry Boynton. She grew up in Mount Vernon, attended local schools and graduated from Maranacook High School in 1985. She went on to obtain her Bachelors Degree from the University of Maine at Farmington, attended Kennebec Valley Technical College and ultimately obtained a Masters Degree in Business from Thomas College in 2005. We are all so proud as she was of this accomplishment. She is survived by her Son, Ian Watson, of Winthrop; her Mother, Rayma Jacobs, her much loved Niece, Hailee Ashby both of Mt. Vernon; her Father and step mother, Harry & Rose Boynton, and her grandmother, Attalie Boynton all of Monmouth; her sisters, Rayma Ashby and her significant other, David Byras Jr. of Litchfield; Jackie Frost and her husband Rod of South Gardiner; her brothers, Stanley Warren Jr. of Jackman; Harry Boynton Jr. and his wife Stephanie, and Gerard Boynton both of Monmouth; her first best friends, Christine Currier, Carol Spaulding and Heather Roberts, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Sherri was predeceased by her beloved Grandparents, Milton and Barbara Hall; her cousin, Steven Wright; her step father, Mark Jacobs and paternal grandfather Calvin Boynton. Sherri loved spending time with her family and friends especially Christine, Heather, Carol, Other Shari and Jocelyn. They were very close and shared many good times, laughs, and friendship. They were there for her through her illness and she was happiest when they were with her. Sherri worked in the past for Maranacook School System, State Farm Insurance and then went to work for the State of Maine. Her latest was work was with the Department of Marine Resources as a Resource Administrator. Sherri loved her job at the department and all the people she worked with. She was very appreciative of all they have done for her since her journey with cancer started over a year ago and all the help given to her from everyone there. She spoke often of the people there and all that they did for her. Among many things Sherri will be remembered for her love of life and fun, her sense of humor, her loyalty, strong independent spirit, generosity, her kind words and heart, and her concern for all those around her. In the last year we can add to this grace, dignity, strength and courage unequalled. She will be missed always. Relatives and Friends may visit Thursday October 9, 2014 at Roberts Funeral Home 62, Bowdoin St. Winthrop Maine from 6-8pm. Services will be held Friday October 10, 2014 at Roberts Funeral Home at 1pm.
