Winthrop-Terry Lee Buzzell, 71, died Friday, January 7, 2022, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston after a brief illness.

Terry was born November 18, 1950, in Augusta, ME the son of Carroll Erwin and H. Audrey (Lenfest) Buzzell.

Terry graduated from Winthrop High School in 1969 and went to work for his family business, Carroll Buzzell Construction, operating heavy equipment. He spent his career working in excavating, logging, and drafting organizations with a true passion for laying groundwork that lasted the test of time.

Terry is survived by his siblings Susan and her husband Chip Woodman, Paul Buzzell, Jean and her husband George Rice, Jane and her husband Jeff Brennan, his children Jill, Corey (wife Lisa), Ryan-Lee, Alex, Dakota, Aaron, grandchildren Jenna and Cole and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and older sibling Carolyn Campbell.

A gathering to celebrate Terry’s life will be held on Friday April 29th 2022 from 6-8 PM at the Winthrop United Methodist Church, 58 Main St. for those who wish to come and share stories. A private interment will follow at a future date.
