Terry L. Wood, 69, of Litchfield, found peace on April 16th, 2022. She was born on April 9th, 1953 in Augusta to Constance (Cormier) and Roland Chesley. Terry was a 1971 graduate of Cony High School in Augusta. Terry loved to work in her gardens around the house and overlooking the lake. She enjoyed the serenity and wildlife lake-life offered - the loons, sunsets, and even the bass fishermen. Terry's love for antiques is evident as soon as you enter the yard as antiques are mixed amongst the blossoming flowers. Antiquing took Terry and Gary on many road trips around the state, seeing the sights, and chasing that special antique treasure. What Terry cherished most of all was her canine companions. She took great pride and joy in caring for and spoiling them. Terry is predeceased by her parents, brother Bruce Chesley, stepmother Kay Chesley, and father-in-law Robert Wood. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary Wood; canine companion Wizard; daughter Sarah and husband Jeff St. Pierre; son Ted and wife Amanda Wood, grandchildren Connor, Aidin, Izabell, Olivia, and Alexander; stepfather Ted Huard; sisters Robin and husband David Cummings, Heidi and husband Kevin Martin; stepsisters Bonnie and husband Bill Gruber, Debbie and husband Gil Couture; step brothers Jim and wife Terry White, Alan White; mother-in-law Frances Wood; sister-in-law Becky and husband Bill Pepper; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and family friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gardiner Rescue, the 2 West staff and hospice team at MaineGeneral in Augusta, Delta Ambulance, State Trooper GJ, and Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home.
