AUGUSTA - Thelma S. d'Auteuil, 90, of Sewall Street died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Augusta Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Bradley on Jan. 31, 1916, the daughter of Clement W. and Ella Mae (Fuller) Spencer.
Her parents moved to Old Town in 1918, where she graduated from Old Town High School in 1934. She worked as secretary for the state Bureau of Alcohol for 371/2 years. She married Paul A. d'Auteuil on May 1, 1937.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul, on Oct. 20, 1988; and also a brother, B.W. Spencer, of Old Town.
She is survived by a daughter, Duanne P. Markman of Maumelle, Ark.; a sister, Pearl S. Grant of Saco; two grandsons, Christopher Markman of Marietta, Ga., and Eric Markman of Maumelle; two great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Western Avenue, Augusta. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardiner.
The family wishes to thank her many friends for their kindness and support, also Dr. Barbara Seaborg and the staff at Augusta Rehabilitation Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
