READFIELD- Thelma "Teddy" Whitman Ware passed away on November 22, 2025. She was born March 19, 1937 in Augusta to the late Carl and Laura Whitman of Manchester. Thelma was a member of Manchester Community Church, she sang in the choir, was on the board of deacons, worship committee and a moderator. Thelma enjoyed flowers, sewing and crafts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Carl, Norman, Paul and Timothy Whitman; sisters Priscilla Hippler and Dorothy Veilleux. Thelma is survived by her husband, Donald C. (Bud) Ware of 69 years; daughter Pamela (Danny) Ouellette; David (Melissa) Ware of Arizona; Steven (Marilyn) Ware of Readfield and their families. Sisters Patricia Rolfe and Harriet Blanche both of Manchester; Debra Gould of Auburn; brothers Carroll Whitman of Manchester and Michael Whitman of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Nurse Darby and Certified Nurses Aide Sarah from Andwell Hospice Care, whose kindness helped Teddy and her family feel truly cared for and loved.
