WINTHROP ~ Thomas George Pelkey, Jr., 51, went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2017. “Tommy” was born on April 5, 1966, the son of the late Thomas G. Pelkey, Sr. and Ellen L. (Zambernardi) Pelkey. He attended Winthrop schools and graduated from Winthrop High School in the class of 1984. A devoted State of Maine Employee in the Central Fleet Management Division for nearly 30 years, Tom loved the outdoors and all it had to offer, including hunting, fishing, and boating, along with many other activities. He also loved anything to do with sports. Tom was a beloved son, brother, nephew, and cousin. His family and many, many friends will sorely miss him but he will forever be fondly remembered by all who were so blessed to know and love him. Tom is survived by his mother, Ellen, his brother, Mark and his partner Sandra Williams, his Uncle Paul Zambernardi, his Aunt Marsha Zambernardi, cousins Michael Zambernardi, Patricia and Eric Mulville, and Hailey and Kaitlin Mulville. Tom’s relatives and friends are invited to visit Saturday, Oct. 21st from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
