WINTHROP - Timmy Lee Barrows, 39, of Winthrop died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004. He was born in Augusta, Maine, the son of Robert and Maxine (Emerson) Barrows. Tim graduated from Winthrop High School, class of 1982, and the General Motors Dealer Business Academy. He was close to finishing his associate's degree in business from the University of Maine at Augusta. Tim was vice president at Bob Barrows Chevrolet in Winthrop. He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman, and he enjoyed spending time on his wood lot. He was a member of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine, Maine Bowhunters' Association, National Rifle Association, Maine Trappers Association and the National Trappers Association. He was also past president of Sports Unlimited of Wayne and worked for the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife as an animal damage control officer. Tim was predeceased by his father on Jan. 5, 1995; and his mother on July 26, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Kelene, of Winthrop; a brother, Tommy Barrows and his wife, Vonda, of Winthrop; a sister, Cindy Hall and her husband, Gary, of Monmouth; and a niece and a nephew, Megan and Matthew Hall, both of Monmouth. Relatives and friends are invited to visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop. A celebration of Tim's life will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Western Avenue, Augusta.
