Troy Michael Hallett, of Hallowell, Maine, passed away at the age of 58, on May 5th, 2026, leaving behind a family and community who loved him deeply. He was born on April 28, 1968, to Deanna Mosher Hallett and Elmer (Bud) Welch Hallett.
Troy will be remembered for his caring heart, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends throughout his life. Troy was a happy, bubbly soul. He always knew how to make you smile without hesitation. He would go out of his way to help when others needed it. Troy loved adventure and was always willing to try something new, at least once. Children were drawn to his fun personality. He was a social butterfly with everyone. Troy loved drawing & could draw just about anything. His portraits were amazing. Troy enjoyed working for Uplift, Inc. providing residential care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The residents adored him and he loved working with them. He also worked as a machinic in his early adult years. Troy was an all-purpose handyman of many trades. But his true calling was working with special needs young adults and seniors.
Troy attended the Hallowell school system and graduated from Hall Dale High School. When he was young, Troy loved playing hockey with the youth hockey team at the Kennebec Ice Arena. He also enjoyed playing drums and played for several years on The Sharpies Cossack Drill Team of Augusta, Maine, performing in many parades & events throughout Maine. Troy enjoyed baseball and played into his adult life. He liked fishing, boating and swimming especially when they were at the family cottage on Cobbosseecontee Lake.
Troy is survived by his beloved children, Joseph (Joe) Hallett and his partner Miranda Marquis; Holly Hallett and her partner Zach Emery, who will continue to carry on his memory with pride and love. He also leaves behind his dear mother, Deanna Mosher Hallett who was always there for him; his brother, Todd Mosher Hallett Sr. who was his strength; and his sister, Terri Michelle Hallett Coston. Troy was a proud uncle to his nieces, Teanna Mosher Hallett, Teah Mosher Hallett, and Tabitha Christine Hallett and her partner Charlie Ripley, as well as his nephews Todd Mosher Hallett, Jr., Floyd Hallett, Dillion Coston, Sebastian Coston. Troy's legacy will also live on through his cherished grandchildren, Ellalynn Emery and Ryker Emery, who brought great joy to his life and his three great nephews & niece Kamden Brown, Remington Ripley, and Emmerson Ripley. He also leaves behind many cousins who have great memories of times shared with him.
Troy was predeceased by his father Elmer (Bud) Hallett, his four grandparents Floyd A Mosher and Margaret Turner Mosher; Perley Hallett and Edith Welch Hallett, his aunt Ethel Hallett Betts, and her son William (Butch) Betts.
Though his passing leaves a tremendous loss, Troy's memory will
remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His kindness, love,
and the moments shared with family and friends will never be forgotten.
Troy Michael Hallett's Celebration of Life will be July 11, 2026, at 4:30 pm at the Manchester Community Church, 21 Readfield Road, Manchester, Maine followed by a supper with all of Troy's favorite foods! He would love this as he loved people and he loved to eat at any times of the day.
