SIDNEY-Virginia Caron, 94, of Scenic Drive, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at the Augusta Rehabilitation Center on Eastern Ave. after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Maire Bouchard and Alec Letalien, of Jay. She attended schools in Jay and had worked in Livermore Falls at the Glove Factory and the International Paper Co. She also worked at the Livermore Falls Shoe Co. for many years. Virginia enjoyed playing beano, crocheting and playing cards. She is survived by a son, Jean Caron; of Sidney; two daughters, Norma Child, of Peru, and Janet O’Rourke, of Malden, Mass.; two stepsons, Narcisse Caron, of Livermore Falls, and Rudy Caron, of Parsonsburg, Md.; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 0ne Church St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Richard St. Cyr, celebrant. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Livermore Falls.
