AUGUSTA - Virginia Snowman Partridge of Augusta passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at home, after a long illness. She was born Feb. 9, 1914, to John E. Webb and Alice Maude Getchell Webb. She was educated in Gardiner-area schools and Gates Business College. She worked for E.E. Taylor Co. and the law firm of Locke, Campbell, Reid and Hebert. For many years, she worked as a secretary for Penney Memorial Baptist Church. She was predeceased by Clyde R. Snowman and Clarence L. Partridge, and also by sons Kenneth B. Jewett and George C. Snowman. She is survived by son Charles David Snowman and daughter-in-law Virginia Jewett; stepdaughters Ruth Pelletier and husband Norman, and Alys Marie Parsons; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was a member of Penney Memorial Baptist Church for many years, and involved in various boards and organizations.
