CLEARWATER, Fla. ?Virginia Louise Tribou, of Clearwater, formerly of Augusta, Maine, died Jan. 22, 2003, at her home in Clearwater. She was born in Augusta, the daughter of Erwin D. and Clara (Littlefield) Tribou. She graduated from Cony High School as valedictorian of her class. She received a master's degree in education from Boston University and was a teacher at Lasell College, Auburndale, Mass., and Andover High School, Andover, Mass., where she was an elected member of the school Hall of Fame. Virginia was a member of the Boston University Alumni Association, Phi Lambda Theta Honorary Education Society, Retired Massachusetts Teacher Association, and the National Education Association. She was past treasurer for the OTOW Singles Club in Clearwater and a member of the Green Street United Methodist Church in Augusta. She is survived by a brother, Phillip E. Tribou and his wife, Marjorie, of Manchester, Maine; one niece, Barbara Toothaker, of Gardiner, Maine; and two nephews, Robert Tribou, of Hebron, Maine, and John Tribou, of Albuquerque, N.M. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, with the Rev. Jan Davis, of the Green Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Virginia will be buried in the spring at the family lot in Mount Hope Cemetery in Augusta.
