Hallowell - Wayne L. Hall, 51, of Greenville St. died peacefully at his home on Wednesday September 20, 2006 surrounded by his family. He was born in Augusta on December 5, 1954, the son of Charles and Etta (Currier) Hall. Wayne graduated from Winthrop High School, class of 1973 and from Southern Maine Vocational and Technical Institute in 1975. He had worked for private contractors for many years and in 1981 started at Bath Iron Works, where he was currently employed. He was a member of Bath Iron Works Local #6. Wayne was an outdoorsman who liked hunting, boating, fishing and being at camp in Rangeley. He was a very thoughtful and considerate person, who enjoyed very much spending time with his family. He loved animals, especially his dog ?Brady?. Wayne is survived by his wife of 29 years Linda Hall of Hallowell; 2 daughters Shannon McClain and her husband David of Sarasota, FL.; Jennifer Hall of Hallowell and her fianc? Josh Shanholtzer; his mother Etta Hall of Wayne; a sister DeAnna McConnell and her husband James of Ayer, MA; a brother Gary Hall and his wife Cindy of Monmouth; his mother-in-law Claire Snell of Augusta, brother-in-law Gary Snell and his wife Diane of Dresden; nieces and nephews Sarah Blouin, Wendy Rosko, Dylan McConnell, Matthew Hall, Megan Hall and Matthew Snell; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Wayne was also looking forward to the arrival of his first grandchild Mia McClain in December. Visiting will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church St., Augusta where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00. Burial will be in the Hallowell Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Donald Magioncalda and staff, Dr. Erwin B. Seywerd and staff, and the nurses at MaineGeneral Medical Center that helped with Wayne?s care. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to HealthReach Hospice, c/o MaineGeneral Health P.O.
